YIVO-Bard Winter Program
on Ashkenazi Civilization

January 6-23, 2014

Registration extended
to December 30th!

YIVO's Winter Program on Ashkenazi Civilization offers a unique opportunity to explore the Jewish experience in depth.

Renowned writers, translators, scholars and musicians will open up their fields to the public, creating new conversations about the rich culture and history of eastern European Jewish life and its diasporas.

Join us and explore inside a crowded Lithuanian yeshiva, a smoky literary salon in Minsk, an orphanage in postwar Poland, or New York's City College in the 1930s.

Come for the day, for lunch, or join us after work. Or just come for the music!

Courses are open to all. The program will consist of eight intensive short courses, taught by leading scholars. Students may enroll in up to four courses. Students have the option of receiving one credit per course from Bard College.
